Featured School - Cambridge Middle School
Cambridge Middle School is a new school - this is its second year - in a growing community. Because of this there is lots of open space just waiting to be filled with trees.
When Cambridge Middle School was built, much of the property around it was put into native prairie by a company called Prairie Restorations. This prairie is just the start of outdoor learning at CMS.
Tree Trust is working with a Green Team led by Terri Emmons, a counselor at the school who has a passion for gardening, trees and students. The Green Team is very excited about the possibilities waiting to be explored in the outdoors.
Learning with Trees at Cambridge Middle School is sponsored by East Central Energy, which serves members located in east central Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin. ECE has sponsored seven other schools in the area and are looking forward to another good year. Thank you to our energy co-ops for making these programs possible.
